Brno Gin Festival 2025: where, when, what to expect (and why we’re a bit confused)

Brno Gin Tonic Fest 2025: when, where, and what to expect. Great for gin lovers—but sadly, not much info is available in English. Here’s what we found.

I’ve seen quite a few posters around the city (like the one you see here) advertising this event, and my curiosity was piqued. So I did some digging online to find out more – and here’s what I discovered. Spoiler: there isn’t much info available, and that’s part of the problem.

The event in question is the Gin Tonic Fest Brno 2025, billed as the biggest gin celebration in Moravia. It promises an evening for gin & tonic lovers – both behind and in front of the bar. Sounds fun, right?

Well, it could be. Unfortunately, there is no English version of the event details on the official website or Facebook page, which makes it much less accessible for Brno’s large international community. It’s a missed opportunity, and honestly, a bit disappointing.

Where: The newly renovated Museum of Decorative Arts (Uměleckoprůmyslové muzeum) in Brno – a stunning space, including its iconic courtyard and that modern “cloud” installation. Drinks in hand, you’ll be able to roam both indoors and outdoors.

When: Saturday, May 31st, 2025, from 4:00 PM.

Tickets: Entry costs 250 CZK.

What to Expect: a large selection of gins and tonics for all preferences; tastings, workshops, cocktails, and live DJs. A festive, social atmosphere for both curious newcomers and gin connoisseurs.

Some of the featured gins include the spicy Opihr London Dry with notes of cubeb pepper and coriander, and Bohemian Gin by Žufánek, a Czech-made herbal spirit using only local botanicals like lemon balm, thyme, and cranberries. Whether you like it spicy or floral, there’ll be something to sip.

Would we recommend it? At this stage, not wholeheartedly – mainly due to the lack of foreigner-friendly communication. But if we decide to check it out, we’ll report back on how inclusive the atmosphere was, whether the event was worth the price, and – most importantly – if the gin was good enough to get us at least a little bit tipsy.

Stay tuned! And if you go, let us know how it was – in English, please.
